White Weed Flowers

At this time of the year there isn't to much as far as color and flowers...I was like, flowers!  They are weeds but they look cute!! 

I have been working on a cafepress store and I did this design for that!

This week the rest of the kids started school with Mom...I'm done with high school. Yes...  Although I still have most of my learning to do!  It might be formal AND informal "school" but it is learning all the same.  You keep learning all the time, and I have a lot I need to learn in photography.  That might not make to much sense how I put that...: )

I Like this one, he is so cute!  I tried with his back to the setting sun, using just the on camera flash and it worked pretty good!

I have been working on a cafe press store and here on two pictures I took yesterday and I used them on products! Yes, that is my Bible staring in the pictures!  Well, it's not "my" Bible but...I didn't write it or anything and it is God's. : )

Tonight we have some company visiting for dessert, the Pastor and his wife from the church we have been visiting.  I hope that goes well!  In my devotion time this morning I looked up compassion, and read a passage that listed some things we should be, and compassion was the first thing!  This means we should be compassionate, right?! I think so...

Well...this morning I thought about rearranging my room...I decided to do it and I like it!  We'll see if I want to keep it this way....something different!

Since getting my dslr camera, and shooting in raw(a file format) I have found out how great "raw" is!  What a raw file is:
Let's first start with how a jpeg file works(this is the "normal" file format that small cameras use. These nicer camera's can shoot both types of files, raw and jpeg.)  With a jpeg file the camera gathers all of the information when you take the pictures, then throws all the "ingredients" away, and compresses picture into a jpeg file.

A raw file on the other hand, saves all the information(ingredients).  You can then have more freedom in editing the pictures on the computer!  It is crazy...awesome! Incomprehensible....hahaha big word.

Ron's Family Pictures

Our family has know Ron and his boys for a long time!  Another friend who I had taken pictures of some of their kids before, told Ron maybe I could take some pictures that he wanted with his boys.  I had so much fun...I thought I did pretty good.  I actually felt a little confident and communicated with them...ok.  : )  I still am learning and need MOOORE practice!!!  I wish I could get more photography jobs...: (

I am so thankful though for Ron picking me to take his pictures.  If you are willing to work with me as I learn...check out my facebook page.  I live in Kansas, so if you don't live in KS then it won't be worth checking out unless you like looking at pictures like I do. ; )


Now finely to the pictures!  Oh, and I was going to say...these guys naturally posed pretty well!!!

Photo Shoot!

A friend asked me to take some pictures...

He does a contemporary Christian music radio station.  Anyway a artist Dennis Jernigan came did a concert in a local coffee bar...also run by some friends that we used to go to church with.  Dennis wrote (received he calls it : )  You Are My All In All.  I just played that on the piano for my graduation in May!
Taking pictures there was sooooo good experience. Not an intimidating internment...for me it still was. : )  But if I did something like that again I might feel more comfortable!  So, it was really good experience...
Now for a few pictures!

The Coffee shop owner got up to say they had reached capacity, so it would be starting shortly..ect.  But when he got up there...after the applause, he said, "I'm Dennis Jernigan."  Hahaha   

He said..."Hey, it's a lot cooler in here than it is out there. Just think about that.  We've got a lot to be thankful for."

I Recently Got the 60d!

July 14...the day my new camera was to arrive.   It was the day it did arrive!  I have had fun taking pictures around the house and family.  Also my first "paid" photography of an event and a friend and his boys.  I will post about that soon.  Here are some pictures I have taken with my new camera!
